March 25, 2014 – Ontario Farmer – New Liquid Product Adds to Growers’ Biosolids Options – The opportunities for Ontario producers to utilize biosolids as part of their fertility program continue to grow. The latest material to become available is called LysteGro, a processed liquid bio-fertilizer registered through the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Considered a fertilizer, its content is similar to liquid hog manure, with 30 lbs of N, 27 lbs of P and 31 lbs of K per 1,000 gallons available in the year of application, says OMAF nutrient management specialist Christine Brown.
