January 20, 2012 – The Township of Centre Wellington is undertaking a major expansion and retrofit to their existing Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Elora, Ontario to accommodate future growth and improve the quality of the effluent discharged to the Grand River. The project is estimated to have a total capital value of $16.5 million. The construction contract will be tendered and construction will commence in the second quarter of 2012. The plant upgrade will feature Lystek technology as one of its core design and operating elements. This patented technology will convert the biosolids into a CFIA registered fertilizer, and significantly reduce the volume of material for storage and beneficial use. Lystek is pleased to announce that it has secured both a technology license agreement and an operating support agreement with Centre Wellington as part of this exciting project.

Triton Engineering Services Limited is providing the engineering design and construction management services on the project.
