Lystek Receives 2018 Award for Excellence in Innovation and Sustainability at 63rd Annual CASA Conference in Monterey

On August 9, 2018 at the 63rd Annual CASA Conference in Monterey, California, Lystek and the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District (FSSD) were honored by the California Association of Sanitation Agencies (CASA) with the award for Excellence in Innovation and Sustainability. The award was given in recognition of the successful, ongoing operation of the 150,000 ton, Lystek OMRC (Organic Material Recover Center), a Public-Private partnership originally commissioned in August of 2016 at the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District in Fairfield, California.

Lystek Wins Prestigious Canadian Construction Association International Business Award

On March 14, Lystek, division of Tomlinson Group, was presented with the International Business Award from the Canadian Construction Association (CCA) at a special award ceremony held in Banff, Alberta. The award was presented to the company in recognition of their market-leading technical solutions in the sustainable management of biosolids and organics and their important contribution to promote and enhance the Canadian construction industry.

Lystek Wins Governor’s Environmental And Economic Leadership Award (Geela) For Sustainable Biosolids Management In California

On January 17, the California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) presented Lystek International with a Governor’s Environmental and Economic Leadership Award (GEELA) at a special award ceremony held at CalEPA’s headquarters in Sacramento, California. The award was presented to the company in recognition of their market-leading technical solutions, customer satisfaction and numerous achievements in the sustainable management of biosolids and organics. Located at the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District (FSSD) in California, the Lystek Fairfield Organic Material Recovery Center facility (Lystek OMRC-FSSD) was selected as a leading example in the GEELA category of Sustainable Practices, Communities or Facilities.

California Energy Commission Awards Lystek With Epic Funding

On November 15, Lystek International was awarded a US $1.5 million (+) grant through the California Energy Commission’s Electric Program Investment Charge (EPIC) Program. The mandate of the EPIC program focuses on funding for the creation of new energy solutions, fostering regional innovation, and bringing clean energy ideas to the marketplace.

Approved through unanimous vote on November 8, 2017, the project sees Lystek partnering with Goleta Sanitary District and the University of California in Santa Barbara to deploy an environmentally and economically sustainable organics-to-energy system.

Lystek Wins Wastewater Technology & Company Of The Year Awards For Its Market Leading Solutions In Biosolids Management

On June 22, the 6th Annual Water’s Next Award ceremonies were held at the Sheraton Centre Hotel, in Toronto. As part of the proceedings, Cambridge-based Lystek International was presented with two, national Water’s Next Awards – the first in the Project/Technology – Wastewater category and the second for overall Company of the Year. The awards were presented to the company in recognition of their market-leading technical solutions, customer satisfaction and numerous achievements in the sustainable management of biosolids and organics.

City of North Battleford Wins National Environment Award for Lystek Solution

On June 3rd, the City of North Battleford, Saskatchewan was presented with a CAMA Environment Award during the association’s national conference in Jasper, Alberta.

City Manager, Jim Puffalt (third from left) is seen here holding the award, which recognizes the commitment of a municipality to environmentally sustainable governance, to protecting the environment and to combating climate change. Awards are granted to programs, projects or services that have made a significant and positive impact on the environment. The City was honored with this award for the successful implementation of a Lystek biosolids management system to replace its historical practice of landfilling.

Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) Award for Exemplary Biosolids Management – Technology Development

Award Winner. Rick Mosher (left), President of Lystek International,  accepts an award from the Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO). The award was presented by WEAO president, Gary Burrows in recognition of the technology and innovations developed by Lystek for the biosolids management industry. At the event, Lystek technology was acknowledged as the next generation in biosolids management, treatment and processing. The Lystek system enables municipalities to save time and money in their wastewater treatment plant operations with safe, green, sustainable solutions. The award was presented at the 42nd Annual WEAO Conference at the Congress Centre on Dixon Road in Toronto.

Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) Award for the Town of St.Marys, Ontario for Exemplary Biosolids Management

An award was issued to the Town of St. Marys, Ontario in the category of “Exemplary Biosolids Management Award” from Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) for the integrated biological nutrient removal (BNR)-Lystek system jointly developed by Conestoga Rovers & Associates and Lystek International.

Regional Innovation Award for Sustainable Development from the National Research Council of Canada

Lystek receives the Regional Innovation Award for Sustainable Development from the National Research Council of Canada for the innovative Lystek process technology, which produces a high-solid, pathogen free, high nutrient, liquid fertilizer product.
