Municipal biosolids (anaerobically digested, aerobically digested, undigested), anaerobically digested organic waste products, organic-based liquid materials and processed food-grade wastes.
A public-private-partnership (P3), the FSSD-OMRC services San Francisco Bay Area municipalities and agencies with the capacity to process 150,000 wet tons annually. The FSSD-OMRC is located on-site at the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District in Fairfield, California.
The facility receives a variety of dewatered biosolids, both digested and undigested, and transforms these materials into a Class A biosolids fertilizer product (LysteGro) with the Lystek THP technology. We market and sell LysteGro to area farmers. We are also responsible for the hauling and land application of the material to our customers’ fields. Since commissioning the facility, we have successfully applied approximately 45 million gallons of fertilizer to over 13,000 acres of crop/range land in Solano County.
